A very brisk day! Wind blowing 20 Knots but with some serious gusts. Magic Dragon and Pallasie put out to sea but decided discretion was the better part of valour and went home. Sadly the Gate boat did not appear and as the fleet had their VHFs but all on different bands, communication was difficult to say the least. However eventually we sorted out a short course and racing commenced but not without incidence. Onward has still not worked out how gate boat starts and managed to cross ahead of the gate boat. Calypso found an unwelcome affinity for Coronation, fortunately the damage was minimal. Mischief had a near broach on the first downwind leg which led to an unwelcome reminiscence by moveable ballast on his broaching near the Eddistone. Dolphin managed to catch her backstay with the boom in a jibe but fortunatley all was well. However it was good racing with Dux and Mischief finishing well ahead of the rest of the fleet.
