A brisk wind (otherwise described as frisky!) deterred several boats from venturing forth on what turned out to be an excellent evenings racing. Three of the boats were OCS (not a good omen for Cowes) but returned to cross the line correctly, however this let X90 get away on a beat to Mark. Those that went left did better. X90 lead around the
top mark followed by X124 and X157. By the bottom mark the
top three were in closer order. By the finish X124 and X157
had overhauled X90 who held off X47 to come in third. Thus
father and son had a close encounter racing to the finish.
X118 came in 5th.
