Relatively flat water for us in the northern Solent courtesy of an ENE breeze that lightened throughout the race. Course 60 set from a gate start gave little opportunity to find any tide quandries, apart from how we were going to get back into the river against the spring ebb. All boats needing tows as it was impossible to make headway in the channel. Great X-boating conditions with the sun even making an appearance before the end of the afternoon. Wish they could all be like this!
