Another lovely afternoon with a 10 knot breeze and a flooding tide. Tim Harding kindly volunteered to be race officer so we had a committee boat start. Dolphin had a scorching start and it was close racing until she went out too early to find the tide and lost a lot of ground.
Mischief and Nanette went later but it was a horrible jumbly sea and Nanette tacked back to find more comfortable waves and in addition more wind which gave them an unassailable lead - we could just about read her sail number but usually only when she passed us on the next leg of the race. It is rumoured that Keith went home and started his BBQ before returning to greet us coming in! It was great to see Xavia, despite a technical hitch just after the start which lost her alot of ground, coming back into contention and Sartu out for her first race of the season. Sadly Kathleen had a very late start which put them out of contention.
